Coronavirus Update from MedGen

10th March 2020

As you will be aware, the news continues to report on the Coronavirus outbreak, as the UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk to the public from low to moderate, we want to ensure you are up to date with the latest recommendations, advice and information.

Please ensure you take the basic precautions of carrying and using tissues (then bin it), washing your hands often with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Avoid close contact (within 2 metres) with people who are unwell or with any potentially infected person.

Please ensure you are fully aware of the latest guidance as outlined on the below Government links. If you have been in contact with anyone who has visited and/or you have visited any of the latest regions as outlined on these links. You need to inform us immediately by contacting the clinical team on: clinicallead@medgen.co.uk or call on 0333 121 1000 option 8.

If you have visited a hospital and/or community patient where you have either been informed there is Coronavirus and/or suspect you may have come in to contact with someone who may have the symptoms, then please call the NHS on 111 and follow their advice.

Again, please see the links below and immediately update us on clinicallead@medgen.co.uk or call on 0333 121 1000 option 8, and inform us if you are being asked to self-isolate and/or may have contracted the virus, so we can immediately contact our clients and patients.
