A&E Nurse
You will need to know your stuff when it comes to the handling of initial patient assessments, performing laboratory work, point of care testing and associated administrative tasks. Our client in Derry is on the lookout for A&E nurses who know their stuff when it comes to working in a busy A&E department. With the current seasonal pressures and the ongoing effects of Covid-19 taking their toll on the NHS we need someone like you, a cool, calm and collected professional to help out in one of the hospitals busiest departments.

As an A&E Nurse you will be involved in;
I’m not going to tell you what an A&E Nurse does, because the truth is – you probably already are one if you’re looking at this! However, some of the common duties you can expect to be carried out are:
Maintaining care standards in accident and emergency
Monitoring and administering medication
Writing records/updating care plans
Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
Providing compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity

An NMC pin
A recent AccessNI check (Medgen will support in getting an update)
At least one year’s experience in nursing
The right to work in the UK
Confident, an eye for detail and happy dealing with large volumes of work
