CAMHS Nurse
Can you bring your mental healthcare experience and apply it to young patients who need it most in these challenging times? We're currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate CAMHS Nurse to fulfil a full-time position for the next three months based in the Dorset area. Don't worry if you're not based in the Dorset area as we're offering a daily accommodation stipend for the right candidates. You will be working alongside experienced Mental Health professionals and supporting them in several areas, meaning that you can bring your vital skills to the role and have a direct impact on patients' ongoing mental health

As a CAMHS Nurse you will be involved in;
CAMHS urgent assessments, DSH assessments, liaison work, may be required to cross cover and assist other services
Offering assessments and duty along with therapeutic interventions to young people
Offer therapeutic wellbeing calls and therapeutic intervention as indicated
Ability to access clinical risk, good knowledge of child and adolescent mental health
Liaising with patients, relatives and fellow professionals in the community treatment team and attend regular meetings to review and monitor patients' care plans
As a CAMHS Nurse you will have;
Being highly professional is of course, incredibly important, but equally as desirable is your ability to communicate, empathize and successfully provide the highest level of care to your patients and colleagues. We also require our nurses to possess:
A recent DBS check
The right to work in the UK
NMC registration
Must be able to drive
Safeguarding level 3
Working knowledge of Childrens' Act
Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Understanding of Consent, Capacity and Gillick competence
Ability to use online tools given most interventions are virtual
Ability to use electronic patient recording system
Understanding of system issues and ability to work with complex family systems
Basic skills in CBT, trauma focussed work, DBT and child development
Understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions.
