MedGen Healthcare are looking for compassionate and dedicated mental healthcare assistants to provide essential care and support for people with diverse needs.
This role involves working closely with children/adolescents in care, those with disabilities, or those requiring emotional and behavioural support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children in care.
Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities. Work closely with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure children’s well-being.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Help children develop essential life skills and independence.
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
· Previous experience working as a healthcare assistant with children/adolescents who have mental health needs.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.
Ability to provide a clinical reference.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
In date PMVA training (or willingness to do one).
