Medical Admission Nurse
We're looking for Medical Admission Nurses to assist a number of our clients across Derry. You will serve as an important part of workflow management by taking on much of the burden of the admission process. You'll quickly become an expert on the admission process and become invaluable to the unit you serve. The admissions nurse role is a unique opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with the hospital and to work with staff outside your normal unit.

As a Medical Admission Nurse you will be involved in;
Facilitate admission to patients in a care setting to provide nursing care.
Nurse and tend patients upon admission into a healthcare facility setting.
Assess and evaluate patient’s health for nursing care.
Develop healthcare nursing plans in coordination with the clinicians or doctors.
Coordinate with other nursing staff and healthcare team to provide nursing care.
Ensure safe and compassionate nursing care to patients.
Interact with patients and their families in providing health and nursing care.
Provide post-surgical care to patients.
Provide nursing care to patients at their home.
Ensure compliance of admission nurse activities with the standards of quality healthcare.

As a Medical Admission Nurse you will have;
•An NMC pin
•A recent AccessNI check (Medgen will support in getting an update)
•At least one year’s experience in nursing
•The right to work in the UK
•Confident, an eye for detail and happy dealing with large volumes of work
