If you have a passion for providing high-quality midwifery care and you are an experienced midwife looking for an opportunity to work at specialist pay rates then we have a number of immediate and ongoing shifts for a Band 6 Midwife at one of our leading clients based in one of the Scottish Islands.

As a Midwife you will be involved in;

  • Examining and monitoring pregnant women

  • Assessing care requirements and writing care plans

  • Carrying out screening tests

  • Providing information, emotional support and reassurance to women and their partners

  • Taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures

  • Caring for and assisting women in labour

  • Monitoring and administering medication, injections and intravenous infusions during labour

  • Monitoring the foetus during labour

  • Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies

As a Midwife you will have;

  • An NMC pin

  • Scotland PVG

  • Intention to Practise certificate

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed

  • Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

  • At least one year’s experience in midwifery

  • The right to work in the UK

  • Confident, an eye for detail and happy dealing with large volumes of work

  • Availability to work for a minimum of 1 month
