​Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

​

We’re looking for a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse with strong values to join our client's NICU care team in Londonderry. The successful applicant will have a demonstrable history in NICU infant care. Because it is such a fast-paced, high-stress environment, we are interested in hiring a nurse who handles stress well and excels at priority management. Additionally, we need a professional who excels at communicating with parents as much as caring for infants in NICU.

As a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse you will be involved in;

  • Evaluating and overseeing patients in the NICU and report to supervisors any changes in condition

  • Maintaining and calibrating NICU equipment for patient safety and support

  • Administering medications as prescribed by attending NICU physician

  • Connecting intravenous lines to administer medication and extract samples

  • Communicating with parents/guardians the plan of care and scope of treatment

  • Obtaining and evaluating test results

  • Consulting with physicians and other nurses on plan of care, progress and prognosis

A successful candidate for this role will have:

  • An NMC pin

  • A recent AccessNI check (Medgen will support in getting an update)

  • At least one year’s experience in nursing

  • The right to work in the UK

  • Confident, an eye for detail and happy dealing with large volumes of work
