​​​Oncology Nurse

Are you a compassionate Oncology Nurse with previous experience of caring for critically or chronically ill cancer patients? Due to increasing demand, a number of our clients in the Northamptonshire area are on the lookout for highly skilled Oncology Nurses to work a variety of shifts.

As an Oncology Nurse you will be involved in;

  • Assessing patients health

  • Developing plan of care for patients

  • Administering treatments

  • Educating patients and families

  • Providing support and guidance throughout a patient’s treatment

Oncology Nurse Skills and Qualifications:

In this position, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and tend to their needs. You should be highly committed to best practices, knowledgeable of compliance requirements, and able to perform well within a team environment. An ethos of compassion and sincerity coupled with strong communication skills are a must.

  • Registration as a registered general nurse or similar qualifications

  • Current registration with the NMC

  • IV Skills, including syringe driver training and venepuncture training

  • At least 1 year nursing experience

  • Experience recording accurate records

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Supportive and motivated

  • Great communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate ethical values and ongoing professional and personal growth

  • Ability to work on feet for long periods of time
