We are looking for dynamic Phlebotomists to join our dedicated and highly professional team of nurses and therapists working nationwide. We currently have a large number of shifts across Dorset for experienced and professional phlebotomists.

As a Phlebotomist you will be involved in;

  • Phlebotomy

  • Measurement of height, weight and BMI

  • Measurement of blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiratory rate

  • Fitting and recording of ECGs

  • Ensure that patient specimens are appropriately processed

  • Application of basic dressings under the direction of a practice nurse or GP

  • Diabetic foot checks

  • Organisation and distribution of home blood pressure monitors

  • Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions

  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients’ health and well-being

As a Phlebotomist you will have;

  • Minimum NVQ level 2 preferred

  • Phlebotomy/venesection skills essential.

  • A recent DBS check

  • At least 6 months of recent experience in an acute setting.

  • The right to work in the UK

  • Able to organise own workload and work within time frames and sometimes under pressure.
